Altamira’s Oracle
The oracle is a place created to inspire desires, hopes and wish for a future.
My project has been based on the idea of the oracle, a sacred place, which our ancestors have possibly used to dream, make wishes and imagine tomorrow.
In this oracle at the Altamira Museum I have invited visitors to share their desires, their hopes. It is a translocation of time and space in which visitors, after connecting with their ancestors in Altamira, can express their wishes in relation to the future. Their voices recorded in the oracle have offered more than a hundred hope-filled wishes for the entire world.
El oráculo es un lugar creado para inspirar deseos, esperanzas y desear un futuro.
Este proyecto esta basado en la idea del oráculo, lugar sagrado, que posiblemente nuestros ancestros han utilizado para soñar, pedir deseos e imaginar el mañana.
En este oráculo en el Museo de Altamira he invitado a los visitantes a compartir sus deseos, sus esperanzas. Es una translocación de tiempo y espacio en el cual los visitantes después de conectarse con sus ancestros en Altamira pueden expresar sus deseos en relación al futuro. Sus voces grabadas en el oráculo han ofrecido más de cien deseos llenos de esperanza para todo el mundo.

Oraculo de Altamira: Los Cien Deseos, Altamira Oracle: one hundred desires, is an interactive installation at the Museum of Altamira, was developed in a magical space, full of meanings due to the fact that we are in Altamira, a prehistoric wonder. “Oracle”at the entrance of Altamira Cave at the Altamira Museum involved the participation of visitors in a collective experience in which each participant developed a unique connection with the site of Altamira, to express their own wishes.
The visitors walked inside a circle seeking a connection with the past, present and future, thus giving the offering of their wishes to the universe. Adults and children shared their desires with exquisite sensitivity and genuineness. Altamira enhanced the strength of the visitor's desires, and at the same time witnessed this amazing experience. The project culminated in an intense human connection, full of playfulness and spirituality.
